The Start of a Revolution.

So, here we are. Something that I always thought I would avoid. Who wants to here the ramblings of a teenager? I already spend enough time on Facebook talking about myself amongst my friends, so why blog? I've never blogged before, nor wanted to. So, as this journey into the unknown begins, I guess I will have to start off by thanking my English teacher for pushing this project on me. As this is my first post, I am already feeling rather joyful. I hope it continues.

  1. I stood up and applauded your post, Corey. Can I join the revolution? "Why are we revolting?" should be my first question. Do you have the answer?

  2. The answer that I believe would be the correct response would be: We are not revolting for some cause, some purpose to change or alter, but starting anew. This revolution is for us to stand up and say yes or no because we want to, for our own self gain in our dignity, our honor, and our pride. If you feel that you want to say it just because without fear of what others will think, then you are exactly who we are looking for.

  3. Being a resident of Millington myself, I think it's safe to say that while I totally agree with your explanation as to why a person would revolt, I would like to add onto that by saying that I believe people simply want to have options. They want to make the decision to go to college and work hard as opposed to someone assuming that they can't and making that decision for them.
