Just trying to do my job.

I'm just trying to do my job, and you keep tackling my for something that isn't my fault.
Today I would like nothing more then to rant on a little about my place of employment. I am on my second full week of work at a new Kroger that has opened up inside and old Schnucks. Sorry for the lose of those faithful employees. Without you, though, I wouldn't have been able to get my current job. I've caught on quick to the ways of the cashier, with hopes of upgrading my status as quickly as possible. Of course, there are several returning members, so I know they are way ahead of me in status. Though the job my seem simple, standing for 8 hours and hearing customer after customer complain about it not being Schnucks anymore, and how Kroger doesn't carry the toast they want, you start to hate humanity a little. The leads into my new secret, I've started smoking. Getting an extra break and something to take the edge of those sorts of shoppers, it was.. well needed. I know I might be complaining a little early and I might be setting myself up for future turmoil, but I am just going to see where it goes. Anyways, first paycheck comes in Thursday and I clocked in for 38 hours so it will be nice to feel that money roll in again.

  2. For one that video is pretty funny, but yeah we heard all that before Schnucks closed, how they didn't like Kroger and all, and how they don't like there meat, the stuff they only found at schnucks. But I guess all you can do is try to be nice, smile and nod. Some people just really suck.

  3. First person to tell me to keep smoking. Wasn't ever expecting to hear that. But ya, Barrett.. Smiling and nodding is all I can do. I just want to say so often, "I didn't tell you to come here and shop."
